Underwater Single-Image Restoration with Transmission Estimation Using Color Constancy

The issue of underwater image restoration was investigated in this paper. Specifically, the color constancy a single used to estimate transmission map (TM), which can be formation model restore image. First, illumination component based on refined TM without performing guided filter or soft matting operation. Second, statistical property pixel fine-tune unbalance images. Finally, both qualitative and quantitative experimental results showed that proposed method not only obtain better results, but also improve real-time performance different scenes compared with other methods.
